According to school academic calendar in Nigeria, almost 99% of universities, polytechnics and college of education are in second semester now.
Weac candidates are supposed to be preparing for their next exams.
Universities, ploytechnics and colleges are supposed to be preparing on how to organize their forthcoming post Utme exams.
As the lockdown is still in progress in Nigeria, some Nigerians are still worried about when schools are going to be reopened fully hereby creating rumours that schools will resume on 20th November, while some are also saying that schools will resume on 25 of May 2020, some are still deliberating on the motion that schools will resume on 1st of June following the extension of stay-at-home by two weeks. As it was extracted from presidential TaskForce on Covid-19, saying that Buhari extends easing of lockdown in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun for additional two weeks starting from 18th May 2020.
I tell you this; all could be mere rumors as the exact day of School resumption has not been said.
In accordance to the special adviser of media and publicity to the president Muhammad Buhari, by name Femi Adeshina. He highlighted that schools may re-open for those going to seat for west African examination this year (WAEC). Meaning that they might be permitted to return to class due to the preparation of their exams. Though It is still under probability.
So many people might be asking how the department and ministers are preparing for kids to resume school, well the secret is that schools will be sanitized and cleaned thoroughly before the gates re-open on the 1st.
Even though schools will be resuming, no schools sports will be permitted. All learners will need to wear their face masks everyday, it’ll be compulsory and non negotiable and they have to sanitize their hands regularly through out the day and the new school calendar will be released soon.
So looking at this, all students are advised to stay at home until the new resumption date is announced, it might be probably announced on 1 June 2020.
